Congratulations to Queen Christine Ito!
On Saturday, May 4, 2013, the JQSOW crowned its 2013 participants at the Tea Palace in Renton. Joining Queen Christine Ito, who also was awarded the Miss Tomodachi honor, is First Princess Kristi Nakata, Princess Izumi Hansen, and Princess Aspasea McKenna. Queen Christine will move on to participate in the 2013 Seafair Scholarship Program for Women this summer, as well.

Introducing the 2013 Participants
As the Japanese Queen Scholarship Organization of Washington enters its 54th year, the 2013 participants will be presented to the public at the opening ceremony of the Seattle Cherry Blossom and Japanese Cultural Festival. The annual Japanese Queen Scholarship Celebration will be held at 7 p.m., Saturday, May 4, 2013, at the Tea Palace in Renton. The event is already sold out.
