Ever since 4th grade, I sought to accomplish three goals: attend the University of Washington, become an elementary school teacher, and bake a blueberry pie that is superior to my mother's.  With the latter of these goals being admittedly unattainable, I can confidently share that I am a proud Husky who is passionately pursuing a career in education with more enthusiasm than ever.  As a teacher, I want to inspire.  I want to motivate.  Color.  Unify.  Nurture our upcoming generation of students with warmth, compassion, and multiplication tables - of course!

By representing the Japanese Queen Scholarship Organization of Washington, I hope to extend the values, stories, and rich culture my family has bestowed upon me.  I look forward to teaching our communities and future generations about the importance of pursuing higher education and cultural appreciation as an active student, aspiring educator, and proud Asian-American woman.
